Transformative recordings from the contemporary archive
The participation of LGBTIQA+ Sistergirl and Brotherboy communities within feminist and anti-violence movements is not a new development. However, archives are not always available to demonstrate and model the kinds of conversations, language and framing needed to represent LGBTIQASB+ communities within gendered violence and gender equality movements. This series of post presents a curation of key snapshots from the recent archive of recorded events that are now available online. We present these in the hopes that they may assist workers, organisations and leaders in reflecting and directing greater inclusion, solidarity and partnerships between LGBTIQASB+ and women's organisations in the work of ending gendered violence and striving for gender equality.
