March 2026 As of October 2025, QTWAV has embarked on a 2-year workplan with funding from the Queensland Department of Families, Seniors, Disability Services and Child Safety to provide workforce development support to Queensland's Domestic and Family Violence and Sexual Violence sectors. This is a significant step forward in our activities, and will see a step up of the QTWAV secretary into a full-time project coordination role. Our workplan involves a range of key activities


QTWAV Statement of Concern
Queer and Trans Workers Against Violence (QTWAV) is a collaborative capacity-building group of LGBTIQA+ Sistergirl and Brotherboy professionals working across LGBTIQASB+ community organisations and Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence services in South East Queensland. QTWAV Consultations
QTWAV has continued to seek extensive consultation with LGBTIQASB+ communities in Queensland who have lived experience of Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence. In 2023, we held a series of discrete discussion groups in Magandjin/Brisbane, as well as Gimuy-Cairns, Gurambilbarra/Townsville, and Bundaberg. On two separate occasions in 2022 we attempted to launch a community-wide online survey, however this work was sadly digitally targeted by hostile actors and was unable to be
